Sting sends SOS to support Charles' rainforest campaign

Former Police frontman Sting has urged the public to support Prince Charles' campaign to save the world's rainforests.

The singer is promoting the Prince's initiative by encouraging campaigners to text a "rainforest SOS" message backing action to halt the deforestation of the vital eco-systems.

"Thirty years ago, I wrote Message in a Bottle. Today, I'm joining forces with His Royal Highness and many others supporting the Prince's Rainforests Project to send an SOS to the world," he says.

The singer established his own Rainforest Foundation after visiting the Amazon in 1987.

Campaigners can send their messages by visiting or texting SOS with their full name to 60777.
