Sexy Coronation Street star Nikki Sanderson has announced she intends to leave the hit soap.
"I'm really sad to be going because I will miss everybody," she said as the news was revealed. "I am excited about what the future holds."
Nikki's decision to leave means she's following in the footsteps of real-life boyfriend – and former co-star – Danny Young, who was recently axed from the show. According to some reports, the actress actually left Corrie because she missed her beau, who now lives in London, while shooting the soap in Manchester.
Meanwhile, show bosses, who say her character Candice Stowe will be written out this autumn, have bid her a fond farewell. "Nikki has indicated that she wants to try her hand at other projects… We wish her all the best in the future," said producer Tony Wood. |
