The Hilton dynasty has often been described as America's answer to the Royal Family, so it should come as small surprise that its most high-profile member, Paris, is planning to make her vows in the same place as Prince Charles.
According to newspaper reports in Britain the blonde bombshell is hoping to stage her forthcoming nuptials in Windsor. The 24-year-old, who has taken the London party circuit by storm in recent weeks, apparently wants her wedding to have a distinctly regal flavour.
"I've always wanted to be a princess on my big day and only a wedding in England could make that happen," she was quoted as saying. Paris had originally hoped to say "I do" in one of the capital's famous cathedrals, but she had to write to Prince William after finding out only members of the British establishment can use those venues.
"I've got my heart set on St Paul's or Westminster but I've had to write to the Prince to ask for dispensation as I don't qualify," she confessed. "I really want to get married at Christmas, though, as I'd love to have snow and log fires, so Windsor is a cool back-up. Prince Charles got married there so it's good enough for me."
Regardless of their royal status, she and fiancé Paris Latsis have done a fine job of establishing themselves in London's society circles. The romantic pair were photographed mingling with the likes of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sadie Frost and Bryan Ferry at the Tatler Summer Party on Wednesday. And although there were plenty of celebs in attendance at the glitzy event it was Paris, in a figure-hugging red number, who drew the most attention from onlookers. |
