Footie ace Freddie Ljungberg set pulses racing last year when he appeared on billboards and magazine covers to promote Calvin Klein underwear. And his fans can now look forward to another encounter with the hunky Swede, because he is about to star in a second campaign for the label.
The Arsenal star is heading up a global publicity drive by the firm, so it won't be only his British admirers who get the chance to gaze at his sculpted physique. New Yorkers will also have those piercing blue eyes staring down at them, from an enormous billboard in Times Square, while pedestrians strolling along Los Angeles' Sunset Boulevard will likewise find themselves face to face with the 27-year-old.
But despite his sex symbol status, Freddie says he only agreed to strip off for the first Calvin Klein campaign because he knew the pictures would be tasteful. "I thought about it a long time before I decided to do it," he revealed. "I'd done photo-shoots before but always with clothes on, I never even showed my arms. But the pictures are quite arty, so it's OK."
