With just weeks to go before the birth of her third child, Crown Princess Mathilde of Belgium donned a pretty floral coat over casual slacks and top to take her first-born, little Princess Elisabeth, back to school.

Crown Prince Philippe was also there for the special day, and the three-year-old future queen crossed the street into the school buildings clinging tightly to both parents' hands.

Princess Elisabeth and her two-year-old brother, Prince Gabriel, will be welcoming a sibling sometime in October. Their mother has continued to keep up a full programme of engagements during her pregnancy, showing off a series of very elegant, ultra-feminine maternity wear featuring lots of pink, and oversize flower accessories to emphasise her inner bloom.
