hellomagazine.com

It's been 12 months since Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright said 'I do' at their fairytale nuptials, and they found a special way to celebrate their first wedding anniversary at the weekend. The couple headed to the exclusive Pennyhill Park in Surrey for an early celebration - their actual anniversary is on 24 May - where they made the most of some quality time together.

Mark, 29, uploaded a photo taken from their bedroom window, showing the resort's outdoor pool and the spa building, on Instagram on Sunday. In the foreground he is holding a plate with a 'Happy Anniversary' message written in chocolate, along with two chocolate truffles.

"Incredible anniversary weekend 💙❤," he captioned the snapshot. "The most perfect time in the most perfect place with the most perfect person...."

Last month, Mark opened up about his first year of marriage with 28-year-old Michelle in an exclusive interview with HELLO! magazine. "People always say, 'Oh enjoy your dating days, they're the best.' And they're great, don't get me wrong, but being married tops it all," the Heart FM DJ said. "You know you're each other's forever and it's such a special feeling."

It's an exciting time for the couple. Mark recently revealed that his children's show The Dengineers is set to air in America, meaning he could be on the road to success in the States.

Mark has been presenting the children's programme with CBBC vlogger Lauren Layfield since 2015. The Dengineers is described as a makeover show that creates "dream dens for lucky recipients", something he said he loved to do with his brothers and sisters when he was young.

Mark, who has signed to the same US agent as Ryan Seacrest and Piers Morgan, has made no secret of his desire to work in America. The former TOWIE star admitted that both he and his wife Michelle would love to work in Los Angeles, and the couple spent time meeting with agents during their time in the States last summer.

"England will always be our home but both Michelle and I would love to spread our wings and work in LA," Mark admitted to The Sunday People at the time.
