Inspiration for us all…

hellomagazine.com

While it used to be believed that you're 'over the hill' once you hit 40, these inspirational celebrities are proof that there is a lot more to look forward to in middle age. Whether it's achieving huge career milestones or simply celebrating their ageing appearances, these women are the epitome of growing old gracefully and an inspiration to us all! The HELLO! Online team explains why…

The Queen

Chloe Best, Online Lifestyle Editor: As the longest-serving British monarch, the Queen has reigned for some 66 years, and she is still as dedicated and engaged now as she was in her twenties. While she could be forgiven for taking a step back from royal duties now she is in her nineties, Her Majesty still undertook a total of 296 engagements in 2017, and even launched what is one of her greatest legacies – the Commonwealth Canopy – alongside Sir David Attenborough. All that, and she also heads up the royal family as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to an ever-growing brood. She does it all with a smile on her face and an endless array of chic, colourful ensembles. What more can we say?

Queen Rania of Jordan

Ainhoa Barcelona, Deputy Online Editor: She may be a rock to her four children, the right-hand woman to her husband King Abdullah II and the pillar of her family, but Queen Rania has other impressive roles outside of her personal life. A philanthropist, an activist and a social media queen, the Jordanian royal champions many causes on a national and international scale. Education is her passion, and her dream is that every child has access to school life. She is Honorary Chair of the UN Girl's Education Initiatives, she contributes to the World Economic Forum and she has set up the Jordan River Foundation among other organisations – to name a few accomplishments. All this, while looking fabulous and never putting a foot wrong in the style stakes.
