Before moving to Althorp, the late Diana, Princess of Wales, spent part of her childhood in Norfolk alongside her three siblings before settling in the Spencer family seat in Northamptonshire.
Princess Diana's life changed forever when she married the then-Prince Charles in 1981, aged 20. The couple went on to have two children together, Prince William and Prince Harry, before divorcing in 1996. Following her tragic death in a Paris car accident the following year, Diana's older sisters, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes, and her younger brother, Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, remained close to her sons and continue to uphold her legacy.

Lady Sarah McCorquodale and her fascinating dating history
© GettyBorn in 1955 to John, 8th Earl Spencer and Frances Shand Kydd, Sarah is the oldest of the Spencer siblings. She attended Riddlesworth Hall School in Norfolk and later West Heath boarding school in Kent. While working in London after passing her O levels, she met then-Prince Charles at a party in 1977 and the two briefly dated. During that time, it's thought that Lady Sarah is said to have been the one to introduce Charles to her younger sister Diana.
© GettyShe even made public comments about her own breakup to Charles in 1978 to TIME, saying: "There is no chance of my marrying him. I’m not in love with him. And I wouldn't marry anyone I didn't love whether he were the dustman or the King of England."
© GettyDespite the relationship not working out, she married Neil McCorquodale in 1980 and the pair went on to have three children – Emily, George and Celia. Now, Lady Sarah and her husband reside near Grantham, Lincolnshire, where she served a one-year term as High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 2009. In 2010, she became a master of the Belvoir Hunt and was also president of the now-defunct Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, which raised money for various charities.
Diana's sons have stayed in touch with Sarah, and attended their cousin Emily's wedding to James Hutt in 2012, along with Kate. Harry was also among the guests at his cousin George's nuptials to Bianca Moore in South Africa, and he and Meghan celebrated Celia's McCorquodale's marriage to George Woodhouse just a month after their own wedding in 2018. After all of those weddings, Lady Sarah now has accumulated a rather big family with seven grandchildren of her own from her three children.

© GettyLady Jane, born in 1957, was close to her sister Diana in their adult years. Like her sisters, she was also educated at West Heath boarding school. In 1978, she married Robert Fellowes, who was then assistant private secretary to the Queen.
© GettyWhen Diana wed Prince Charles in 1981, the Spencer sisters both resided at Kensington Palace. Robert was granted a life peerage as Baron Fellowes in 1999, making Jane Baroness Fellowes. The couple shares three children – Laura, Alexander and Eleonor.

Proving their bond even further, Laura was chosen to be one of Princess Charlotte's godparents at her christening in 2015. Harry made a solo appearance at Alexander's nuptials to Alexandra Finlay in London in 2013. Through her children, Lady Jane is grandmother to five grandchildren.

He was educated at Eton College and read Modern History at Magdalen College, Oxford. Throughout the years, Charles has worked as a broadcaster and has written a number of books around his family history and ancestral home, Althorp.

© GettyHis most recent book, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, made a series of explosive claims, including the allegation that King Charles was "giddy" following the death of Princess Diana. Buckingham Palace pushed back, releasing a statement that read: "Fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory in ways others do not recognise."
The palace was not alone in speaking out; Charles Spencer also issued an apology to Piers Morgan over a factual error within its pages. Prince William and Prince Harry were approached separately by reporters for comment, but neither responded. However, Charles told People magazine that both princes were "made aware" of the project, adding that Harry was "completely fine" with it.
