WATCH: Alex's freezing night with William and Catherine – here's what happened

Close-up of woman on the left and the Prince and Princess of Wales on the right
Alex looked distinctly chillier on the night than the climatically impervious William and Catherine

I'm shivering even thinking about it but last night our US correspondent, Alex Hurtado, stood outside a baltic Royal Albert Hall all evening in order to provide members of The HELLO! Royal Club with an incredible behind-the-scenes video from the Royal Variety Performance.

Stars of the show were, of course, the Prince and Princess of Wales, who looked remarkably unfazed by the chill as they arrived at the venue, despite eschewing any form of coat, scarf or hat. I guess glamour trumps all. You can see this moment and much more by clicking on the button below and joining thousands of others in HELLO!'s community for its most ardent royal fans.

Queen Letizia struts in leather

Queen Letizia of Spain sparkled in sequins last night and now she's stepped out in leather to attend the 40th Anniversary of the CEOE Foundation creation at the Royal Theater. The European royal looked effortlessly chic in a black leather skirt, bow blouse and coat elegantly draped over her shoulders. We're not sure what we love more, the fashion choices or the strut. Nailed it.
