Designers delight in Brussels It goes by the name Design September, an entire month in Brussels dedicated solely to design. The city bares witness to an exciting display of exhibitions, openings, lectures, film screenings, debates and flea markets. Mechelen museums Main attractions in Mechelen usually include climbing to the top of St Romauld and experiencing (seeing or hearing) the bells of Belfort. Nevertheless, the talk of the town at the moment amongst the art world is the Newtopia exhibition, dedicated to discovering the relationship between art and human rights. Also opening this month is Bob Van Reeth's new Kazerne Dossin memorial museum in recognition of the victims of the Second World War. Its objective is to explain the historical significance of the time period and tackle conflicting topics such as racism and human rights.

During this time, chocolatiers offer workshop visits and tastings to appease the cravings of the ultimate sweet tooth.
