Friday 28 November: Paddington

Adapted from Michael Bond's beloved books, Paddington follows the comic misadventures of a polite young bear who, when an earthquake destroys his home in Peru, embarks upons a new life in London of which he has dreamed of for years. Saturday 29 November: Taste Portugal London
 

Portuguese gourmet stars Nuno Mendes and José Avillez will be setting up shop at Broadway Market in Hackney, London for just one day. During their three-hour residence, which kicks off at 1pm, Nuno and José will be selling the pork bifana – one of Portugal's most popular and tastiest street food delicacies, in celebration of Taste Portugal London. Sunday 30 November: Enchanted Christmas

Held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through to the new year, Westonbirt Arboretum once again holds its annual Enchanted Christmas event, featuring a spectacular one mile illuminated trail, highlighting the striking structures of Westonbirt’s trees as they are illuminated against the winter night sky. Each year a new lighting design is created so visitors can experience different specimens, paths and vistas in the tree collection.

Monday 1 December: Glasgow on Ice

The only place to skate under the stars in Glasgow city centre is open! As well as ice skating, the event will also include a funfair, free activities for children and families in the Christmas Workshop, and themed evenings, including Music for the Movies, Throwback Thursdays, and Saturday Night Discos.

Wednesday 3 December: Christmas wreath-making workshop

 

 

Try your hand at making your own Christmas decorations this year, starting off with the all-important wreath. Blue Sky Flowers are running two workshops on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 December, at their base in New Covent Garden Flower Market. After a tour of the market with coffee and pastries, participants will learn how to make a wreath that they can take home, after watching step-by-step demonstrations by owner Liz Inigo Jones. Sessions cost £45pp.
