Jon Bon Jovi buys a £14million New York home – see photos

Jon Bon Jovi is the latest famous face to put down roots in the trendy Greenwich Village area of New York. The rocker has splashed out close to $19million (around £14million) on a four-bed, four-and-a-half bathroom home in the neighbourhood, which counts Jessica Chastain and Alec Baldwin among its famous residents.

As you would expect for the price, the home is seriously luxurious, with incredible views over downtown Manhattan and the Hudson River from floor-to-ceiling windows and its 44-square foot balcony.

Jon's apartment is one of the most lavish buildings in Greenwich Village, providing him with access to amenities including a fitness centre with 25-metre swimming pool, golf simulator, steam rooms, a 21-seat screening room and a central garden with a reflecting pool.

The residence spans 3,951 square feet, with a spacious living room and dining room area, with multiple Juliet balconies and glass doors that offer impressive views across downtown Manhattan. The open plan room is currently decorated with neutral walls and oak hardwood flooring, with a sofa and armchairs at the centre, plus a dining table with seating for eight people.

There is a chef's kitchen that is fitted with state-of-the-art appliances and custom wooden cabinets, with grey marble countertops. An island unit sits at the centre of the kitchen, with a sink and further work surface space, along with two stools for extra seating.

There is another dining table next to the kitchen with seating for four people. Should the musician be hosting more guests he'll be able to serve them in the combined family and dining room, which has seating for eight people, and leads onto the spacious 44-square foot balcony.
