Happy birthday Jennifer Coolidge! The iconic Legally Blonde actress turned 65 on Friday August 28 and looks completely unrecognizable from the star we knew in her first role.
In recent years, Jennifer has leveraged her stardom and built a renaissance career. She starred in The White Lotus alongside Aubrey Plaza and Theo James and voiced Vice Principal Marlene in 2025's A Minecraft Movie. Jennifer made her television debut in 1993 on Seinfeld. The comedian appeared on the sitcom's fifth season as Jodi, a masseuse who dates Jerry Seinfeld but is hesitant to give him a personal session.
In her brief appearance on the show, Jennifer had brown hair that she wore in loose, bouncy curls. When her character attempts to give Jerry a massage, she wears an oversized gray sweater and jeans.

American Pie set the tone for raunchy teen comedies. The 1999 film starred Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Natasha Lyonne, among others. Jennifer had a small role playing Seann William Scott's mom.
In a candid conversation with Variety in 2022, the comedian revealed: "I got a lot of play at being a MILF and I got a lot of sexual action from American Pie."

Seven years after her TV debut, Jennifer starred in the cult comedy, Best In Show, alongside a slew of comedic legends like Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Parker Posey, and Jane Lynch. The mockumentary followed entrants into a prestigious dog show, with Jennifer portraying a trophy wife with a poodle in the competition who has a romance with Jane's Christy Cummings.
"We were scared together, so I was really happy to have her with me," Jane told People in June 2025 about her experience in the film with Jennifer. "We hung out a lot. We were in Vancouver. We walked through Stanley Park together and got to know each other very well. We laughed a lot, and that really helped."

Jennifer's big breakthrough came in 2001 when she starred in Legally Blonde as shy nail technician Paulette whose confidence is built up by Reese Witherspoon's Elle Woods. The actress reprised her role in Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde, and is set to appear in the upcoming Legally Blonde 3.
When Jennifer was first auditioning for the comedy, she didn't realize what role she was going out for. "I was so lucky to get cast in this movie, and it is one of my favorite jobs of all time, but I stupidly thought that when I was auditioning, I thought I was gonna be Elle," she shared during a 2026 panel.

In 2021, Jennifer made a career comeback when she starred in The White Lotus as Tanya McQuoid, a multimillionaire who is mourning the loss of her mother at a luxurious Hawaiian hotel. She was the only character to return from season one to the second season in Italy.
The actress shared that her role in The White Lotus opened up her dating life. "Even though I play a complete weirdo in White Lotus, cute guys come up to me," she told The Sunday Times in March 2025.
