John Bishop has finished the first of three agonising marathons - with tears in his eyes.
The comedian reached his target after struggling through severe pains in his Achilles tendons, six-and-a-half hours after he set off.
John, 45, has already been on the verge of exhaustion after a 185-mile cycle ride and a 26-mile row across the English Channel on consecutive days.
The star is powering himself from Paris to London in just five days during his "week of hell" in the BT Sport Relief Challenge.
He was mobbed by supporters as he finished the punishing 26.4 mile route in Faversham, Kent, after setting off from Dover.
John said: "It was such a lift, I had tears in my eyes when I saw all the crowds of people with placards cheering me.
"It's so great that people are getting behind me, I even had people thrusting money in my hands for Sport Relief.
"Every penny helps bring us closer to our target of 250,000 vaccines."
