Michael Jackson eyes David Copperfield to add gig magic

In his quest to make his London comeback shows the most spectacular ever Michael Jackson has reportedly set his sights on adding some illusionist action to them, and has turned to magician pal David Copperfield for help.

According to the Sun, the Thriller singer and the magician – who has levitated over the Grand Canyon and made the Statue of Liberty disappear – have met at David's California home to discuss stunts for the O2 Arena dates.

Michael apparently wants to include high wire routines and a levitation trick which will be the centrepiece of the performance. A series of smaller plans are being worked on too, the newspaper reports, with over 100 mirrors ordered in preparation for the illusions.

"He has some very clear plans on what he wants the show to include and feels David is the man to help make them happen," says a source. "It's not just about the music for Michael. It's about the show."
