Tony Blair's Sedgefield home on market for ten times original value

Tony Blair's Sedgefield home on market for ten times original value

Tony Blair is selling a four-bedroom detached house in his former political constituency Sedgefield.

The property in Trimdon Colliery, County Durham - which the Blairs bought for £30,000 in 1983 - has reportedly been bought for £300,000, just days after it went on the market.

The house boasts five reception rooms, a double garage, forecourt and a large secluded garden where former US President George W Bush landed his helicopter on an official visit in 2003 (pictured).

Named Myrobella after a variety of plum, the Victorian pad was visited once every five weeks when Tony was in office.

He and wife Cherie own four other properties, including a £4m country home in Buckinghamshire and their main London mansion in Connaught Square.
