Katie Price to file for divorce on first anniversary

Katie Price is filing for divorce from husband Alex Reid next week – on exactly the same day the couple were due to celebrate their one-year marriage anniversary.

According to the Sun, the 32-year-old has been advised by lawyers that this date would be the earliest possible time she could start proceedings.

The newspaper also said that the pair had a summit meeting on Monday, at the end of which cage-fighter Alex finally agreed to end their eleven-month marriage.

A friend of Katie’s said: “She told Alex she will petition for divorce as soon as possible, which is a week on Thursday. He has agreed. This is one of several significant gestures on his part.”
