Kate Winslet a knockout at launch of husband's film
The night was all about her husband Sam Mendes, but Kate Winslet couldn't help stealing the limelight at the New York premiere of his new movie Away We Go – not that Sam seemed to mind.
The film-maker's 33-year-old wife was the image of sophistication in a black body dress with vintage lace demi-sleeves, her hair pinned back in a chic pony tail.
Sam's new celluloid project tells the tale of a couple who embark on a journey across America while expecting their first child, .
The movie premieres in Britain at the Edinburgh Film festival this month and goes on limited release in the UK this September.
