During a well-earned break back at her council house in Blackburn, Scotland, Susan Boyle got into the Christmas mood in a Santa hat this week.
Fresh from her globe-trotting stint to promote her debut album, the 48-year-old was all smiles as she entertained neighbours and fans on familiar ground.
It was the second appearance outside her home this week, after she emerged wrapped in a Scottish flag to mark St Andrew's day.
And although the down-to-earth former church volunteer has no intention of moving into a more luxurious pad, it appears she is looking to increase her safety at home.
A Clockwork Security van was spotted outside her residence yesterday after reports emerged that Simon Cowell has asked for Susan to be protected from any potential intruders.
