It has been announced that Ashton Kutcher is set to play late Apple founder Steve Jobs in an upcoming biography.
Ashton's publicist confirmed that the independent film Jobs will begin production in May while the actor is on hiatus from US sitcom Two And A Half Men.
Variety first reported the casting news.
The 34-year-old actor, who has more than 10 million Twitter followers, will portray Steve – who died in October 2011 after a long battle with cancer.
Written by Matt Whiteley, the drama is expected to chronicle Steve's life "from a wayward hippie to co-founder of Apple".
This will be the second movie about the computer visionary. Sony is planning a project, and are lining up The Social Network screenwriter Aaron Sorkin to work on it.
