There are not many would-be-singers who can boast a musical pedigree that includes Dame Shirley Bassey.
So the X Factor judges were surprised to say the least when a 17-year-old auditioned for the singing competition in Birmingham this year revealing she was the Welsh star's granddaughter.
Hopeful Tatjana Novak-Kimsey, who flew in from her family home in Spain, is the daughter of Mark Novak, the 72-year-old legend's adopted son with her second husband.
Her parents split up in the early 1990s and Tatjana explained to the judges she had not seen her famous gran since she was little.
While the pretty teen's lineage impressed the panel at the audition, Tatjana's rendition of There You'll Be by Faith Hill, fell a little short according to insider reports.
Nevertheless, with votes of confidence from Cheryl Cole, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue, she managed to make it through to the X Factor boot camp in London along with 24 other hopefuls.
