Mumford and Sons to represent Britain at Grammys

British rockers Mumford and Sons are flying the flag for Britain in the latest Grammy nominations.

Joined by favourites Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, the folk outfit will be competing for the best album award this year.

Breaking the mould, the group only made their auspicious debut at the Grammys next year. The top nominations for Jay-Z and Kanye are a familiar refrain; each has routinely been at, or near the top of the nominations list for the last few years.

On a less familiar note, band Fun and R'n'B star Frank Ocean are the two breakout acts of the year. The artists will be competing for the best single, best newcomer and best album.

The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 10 in Los Angeles, with a staggering 81 trophies up for grabs.
