Gareth Gates becomes a dad for the first time
The Pop Idol runner-up, who's currently appearing on the West End in a production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has welcomed a daughter with his wife Suzanne Mole.
Missy, as she is to be called, arrived on Monday morning weighing 7lb 8oz.
'We are so excited, Missy is beautiful and we can't wait to spend time together as a family,' says Gareth, 24. He and Suzanne, who is nine years his senior, wed in July after six years together.
At the time Gareth revealed: "What I've always wanted from life is a wife and lots of kids. I'm not sure when that'll happen, but I hope it'll be soon."
