For most university students the summer is a chance to unwind after wrapping up coursework and taking end-of-year exams. Princess Beatrice has decided to use the break to take up a summer job as a PR assistant in the Foreign Office, however
The Queen's granddaughter is a fortnight into a six-week, unpaid placement with the government body's six-strong communications team. She is helping to advise UK residents on how to stay healthy and safe while travelling abroad.
"Beatrice thought that rather than swanning around on holiday all summer, she would rather work at a thrusting Government department. She is thoroughly enjoying her work in Whitehall," says a source about the 20-year-old royal, who has just completed the first year of a BA in History and the History of Ideas at Goldsmiths College in London.
