Tiger Woods' mother-in-law revealed as patient

Tiger Woods' mother-in-law has been identified as the mystery woman taken to hospital in an ambulance on Tuesday.

Barbro Holmberg is believed to have collapsed at the golfer's £1.7million mansion he shares with wife Elin Nordegren.

In a recording of a 911 call made at 2.35am, a sobbing woman - understood to be daughter Elin - told the emergency operator that her mother had collapsed.

"Hurry up," the caller said. "She collapsed in the bathroom. What do I do? I heard her fall and ran up there and tried to get her up. I don't think she's injured."

Mrs Holmberg, a 57-year-old Swedish politician, was taken to Florida's Health Central Hospital on a stretcher, while daughter Elin followed in her own car.

After 11 hours, the patient was released and has returned to Tiger's home.
