Jessica Biel hit by severe weather on mountain climb

Difficult weather conditions are making actress Jessica Biel's trek up Mount Kilimanjaro tricky this week.

The former girlfriend of Justin Timberlake is currently climbing the 19,340-foot peak to help raise awareness of global water issues.

But the screen beauty and fellow celebs, including rapper Lupe Fiasco, were hit by hazardous weather on their fifth day.

"It's pretty gnarly," United Nations executive Elizabeth Gore says.

"The visibility is only ten feet in front of you. And it’s cold. I’ve got six layers on.”

"Jess is doing awesome,” she adds.

“She continues to bring levity yet seriousness at the same time. We’ve played every game you can imagine – travel Scrabble, word games. And there is a lot of free-style rapping going on.”

The group have just one day of climbing left before reaching the Tanzanian mountain's summit.
