Leona Lewis turns hand to fashion designing

Leona Lewis has revealed that the striking ensembles she's been sporting at recent events are her own creations - and she plans to launch her own fashion line.

The X-factor winner was snapped in a series of quirky outfits last week.

Cementing her new image, Leona sported a mermaid-style skirt for a charity event and attended the pre-Grammys party in a yellow bra-top and hot pink skirt.

A publicist for the star confirmed that the ensembles are Leona's designs and stated she may be planning on launching a range of her own.

"Leona is interested in starting her own ethical clothes line sometime in the very near future," said the representative.

The 25-year-old is a dedicated animal rights supporter and environmentalist.
