Mariah Yeater  has quietly dropped the paternity suit she was holding against superstar Justin Bieber.

The 20-year-old has a four-month-old baby, and has claimed - up until this point - that Justin is the father.

Mariah had taken out a lawsuit against the singer, demanding a paternity test and child support for her baby.

On US talk show, The Insider she was asked if she had sufficient evidence to prove that her allegations were correct.

"It'll show in court to prove that my allegations are true," she replied.

She refused to comment further, saying she could not discuss any more details on camera.

It is unclear why she has dropped the paternity suit, but according to TMZ.com the young woman had a change of heart and backed out of her initial decision sometime last week.

Justin recently stated that he would take a paternity test and was planning to sue Mariah for false claims.
