'I know I can win' says pint-sized talent show contestant

Monday May 18, 2009

Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan summed it up perfectly. "You are a very, very little girl with a very, very big voice," he told ten-year-old Natalie Okri after he and the other judges were blown away by the youngster's performance of Alicia Keys track No One during auditions.

The south London schoolgirl, whose performance was seen by viewers on Saturday night, has been singing since the age of four. She revealed she's been the target of bullies at school because of her musical ability, but says: "I know I can win and show them all what I can do."

There is one more audition programme for the TV talent search, which will air next Saturday, before a week of live shows culminates in the grand final on May 30.

Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle is still favourite to win the competition and get the opportunity to perform for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance this year.
