Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon was making the most of an opportunity to show off the new rock on her finger to her co-star Kristin Davis this week after becoming engaged to girlfriend Christine Marinoni. Cynthia shared the news as she spoke at a New York rally in support of same-sex civil partnerships.
Forty-three-year-old Cynthia, who plays lawyer Miranda Hobbs in the hit series - revealed that teaching union leader Christine proposed a month ago, and pair are hoping to enter into a civil union in New York if a bill to legalise gay marriage in the state is passed.
The couple - who live in Manhattan with Cynthia's two children Samantha, 14, and Charles, six – met in 2002. They started dating a year later after Cynthia split with her long term partner Danny Mozes, an English professor.
