Zsa Zsa Gabor, 93,  in good spirits ahead of hip op

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was in good spirits and surrounded by family as she awaited hip replacement surgery on Monday, her publicist said.

The 93-year-old broke several bones in a fall after attempting to answer the phone at the home she shares with ninth husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, 65, while watching TV programme Jeopardy.

Before the likes of Paris Hilton and Katie Price came along, Zsa Zsa continually made the headlines because of her love life and wisecracks.

The Hollywood legend once said that her relationships had made her a good housekeeper because every time she divorced she kept the house.

But recently the star - who's best known film is Orson Welles classic Touch of Evil - suffered with health problems.

Following a car crash that left her partially paralysed, Zsa Zsa reportedly had a stroke in 2005.
