Charlie Sheen to return to TV in brand new sitcom

Tuesday July 19, 2011

Charlie Sheen is planning a TV comeback in Anger Management, a new sitcom based on the 2003 film of the same name.

Names of co-stars and a production start date have not been disclosed yet.

And currently no network is attached to the series, which will be produced by Lionsgate Television.

In the film, which starred Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler, a mild-mannered man is ordered to attend group anger-management sessions led by a therapist who needs therapy himself.

The show will be Sheen's first full-time TV job since he was fired from Two And A Half Men in March.

The hit CBS show had made him the highest-paid actor on television earning around 1.8 million dollars an episode.

He was axed from the show after gaving a string of controversial interviews about his past drug use and repeatedly insulting show runner Chuck Lorre.
