Little Mix battle with Military Wives for Xmas top spot

X Factor winners Little Mix have wasted no time in getting to the top of the charts with their single Cannonball – but they'll have to work to stay there.

Also looking for festive glory are Gareth Malone's choir of military wives.

The first ever girl band to reach an X Factor final, are being taken on by the ladies who were brought together by a BBC Two series.

Their single Wherever You Are is inspired by their soldiers husbands and proceeds will go to charities.

The choir's lead singer, Sam Stevenson said: "I think we have a good chance of getting to number one, I don't want to be too complacent, but I don't want to be too cynical either"
