Comedy stars line up for 'Arrested Development' roles

Knocked Up funnyman Seth Rogen and Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig are set to make guest appearances on Arrested Development.

The stars are set to feature in the US comedy when it launches its new episodes on Netflix in May, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It's not yet confirmed who the stars will play, but Vulture reports that Kristen will play a younger version of matriarch Lucille Bluth, played by Jessica Walter.

Other big-name stars who will apparently be making cameos are chat show host Conan O'Brien and former Home And Away actress Isla Fisher.

Each instalment of the show is said to be focusing on a different character, starting off with Michael Bluth, played by Jason Bateman.

Despite being claimed a comedy phenomenon, Arrested Development was axed by Fox in 2006 due to low ratings. The new episodes are rumoured to be followed by a film.
