A few weeks after Ellen Pompeo was seen popping into a baby boutique in Los Angeles, a representative for the Grey's Anatomy star has confirmed she's expecting her first child.
The 39-year-old actress – Meredith Grey in the series – and her husband of two years Chris Ivery are reported to be "ecstatic". "It's great news," says her spokeswoman.
Ellen and 41-year-old music producer Chris married in 2007 after meeting four years earlier in a grocery store.
She's not the only Seattle Grace medic in the family way. Her colleague Chyler Leigh, who plays Meredith's little sister, will welcome her third child a girl with husband Nathan West in May.
