Side by side with the man who launched his career, Antonio Banderas couldn't have looked happier.
The Spanish actor beamed as he walked the red carpet with director Pedro Almodovar at Cannes, launching their new film The Skin I Live In.
Antonio found working with his old friend again after 22 years was like coming home.
"I could almost compare it to a return to my country, to my roots, with all its misery, with all its greatness, all its contradictions and everything that goes along with that" said the star, who was an early muse of the acclaimed filmmaker.
"That's what returning to Almodovar is, a homecoming."
In their new film, the Spanish actor delivers a striking performance as a psychotic plastic surgeon.
Antonio is clearly full of joie de vivre lately, after celebrating his 15th anniversary with wife Melanie Griffith.
The pair have already made a loved up appearance on the French Riviera.
