Figureheads of the Belgian and Dutch royal families attended a service for children who died in Switzerland’s tragic coach crash.
Belgium’s King Albert II and his wife, Paola sat in the front row of the funeral, joined by Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands.
Seventeen of the young victims were from the Flemish town of Lommel – where the ceremony was held – and the remaining six were of Dutch nationality.
They lost their lives when their coach crashed in an Alpine tunnel after a skiing holiday.
Dutch royal Maxima had to be consoled by her husband after breaking down.
