Good friends Barack Obama and Jay-Z have been bonding over parenthood.

As well as talking about politics, father-of-two Barack offered some parenting advice to the new father.

Chatting on US radio station Z 107.9, the US President said: "We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends. We talk about the kids.

"I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyonce out [with the baby] and not leaving it all to mom and the mother-in-law."

Jay-Z, however, is known to be a proud and hands-on parent. Last month Beyonce revealed that the hip-hop star loves changing nappies.

The singer said: "Jay-Z is very good. We both change diapers. I love changing diapers, I love it."

Jay-Z and Beyonce welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy into the world in January.
