More tears on Hell's Kitchen as Bruce Grobbelaar quits

Earlier in the week Anthea Turner was in floods of tears upon learning husband Grant Bovey had been booted out of the reality cooking show. And there were more emotional scenes as former Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar sensationally walked out of Hell's Kitchen, despite being one of those tipped to win.

He told Marco Pierre White he missed his wife Karen too much.   Bruce's shock decision left fellow contestants Linda Evans and Danielle Bux in tears, while restaurant boss Marco attempted to persuade him to stay.

"I can’t stop you from going, Bruce, but I would like you to stay because I need you in my kitchen," begged the celebrity chef.

As the two men hugged goodbye the footballer said: "After this week I will never bad-mouth a chef ever again. I now know how hard it is and how much graft goes in"
