Lewis Hamilton slows down for London cabbie role

Lewis Hamilton slows down for London cabbie role

It's certainly not the super-fast racing car he is used to, but Lewis Hamilton was seen buckling up behind the wheel of a black cab on Wednesday.

To the surprise of Londoners flagging down a taxi in the north of the city, Formula 1's reigning champion spent a day away from the race track filming for an advert in one of the capital's most recognisable vehicles.

Joining Lewis on London's transport system was former racing star, Finland's Mika Hakkinen who gave passengers on the A40 bus to High Wycombe a surprise when he took to the helm of a red double decker bus as part of the campaign featuring the two sportsmen.

After a disappointing race at Silverstone on Sunday, where he finished in 16th place, 24-year-old Lewis is gearing up for the upcoming German Grand Prix next month.
