Charles Stisted (pictured left), an esteemed figure in polo and a close friend of Prince Charles, has been killed in a helicopter crash in Northern Ireland.
The chief executive officer of the Guards Polo Club was returning to England following a shooting trip when the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon.
The 47-year-old father-of-two died alongside the pilot and one other passenger. Investigations are underway to determine the reasons for the crash.
A spokesman for Clarence House said: "The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Prince Harry are all shocked and deeply saddened by this terrible tragedy.
"Their Royal Highnesses' thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed at this dreadful time."
