David follows in Victoria's footsteps with H&M deal

David Beckham has announced he is going into partnership with H&M to launch his new underwear range.

The football star husband of singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham - who famously posed in his briefs for an Armani campaign in 2008 - helped design the range of David Beckham boxers, briefs, t-shirts and bodywear as well as a fragrance called Homme.

David wrote on his Facebook page: "I'm pleased to announce a new long-term partnership with H&M to sell my new underwear range.

"It won't be available until February next year but I'll keep you updated with details and pictures nearer the time..."

David revealed earlier this year: "We have spent time working on the fit, the fabric and the style to ensure the product looks and feels the very best and I am hugely proud of the result.

"I can't wait to show people the collection - although I'm not sure my mum will be too happy seeing a billboard image of me in underwear again.

"The push to do something of my own really came as a result of my collaboration with Armani. It proved to me there is a real market for good-looking, well-made bodywear."
