The Duke of York has been awarded the highest possible honour for service to the Queen.
He was invested with the insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order by his mother on Saturday morning at Windsor Castle. The two then took tea together.
The honour, which was established by Queen Victoria, was offered as a thank you to Prince Andrew at the time of his 51st birthday last month.
Both for the support he has given his mother and his work as an unpaid trade envoy.
News of the award comes after the controversy over the Prince's friendship with convicted sex offender, businessman Jeffrey Epstein.
