Two of the fashion industry's most famous faces have proved that their skills are not limited to posing for the cameras. Catwalk queen Heidi Klum launched her new book Body Of Knowledge in New York at the weekend, while her fellow blonde bombshell Paris Hilton presented her namesake perfume at a glitzy bash in LA.
The German model's book promises to let readers in on the "eight secrets of model behaviour". And needless to say, the tome also includes a generous sprinkling of photos, with the author in some of her most memorable – and risqué – poses.
"I wanted to write something because I thought I had so many great stories to tell and I had so many pictures and I didn’t want to just do a picture book," explained the 31-year-old. "It's for guys who want to know more about girls and girls who want to know more about guys."
Heidi has also called on many of her showbiz friends to share their pearls of wisdom, so readers are offered tips from the likes of Donald Trump, who explains how to rise above criticism, and Miramax boss Harvey Weinstein, who reveals how to break into the movie industry.
Paris was meanwhile looking her usual glamorous self in a gold and cream bodice when she launched her eponymous fragrance. The perfume wasn't scheduled to hit the shelves until 2005, but bosses at Parlux Fragrances decided to move the date forward because the hotel heiress is currently enjoying so much media attention. "We had planned to launch Paris Hilton’s perfume early next year but we pushed it up because Paris is such a big name right now," revealed a spokesman. |
