There was shock for Simon Cowell and the rest of the X Factor judges at the weekend as favourite Danyl Johnson ended up in the bottom two of the competition with girl group Miss Frank.

But the trio bowed out of the show - which this week featured performances from Westlife and Michael Buble - after singing for survival against the handsome teacher from Reading.

Danyl repeated his audition song With A Little Help From My Friends while the girls sang Love Don't Live Here Anymore.

Since the judges votes were split between the two, it meant that the act with the lowest public vote, Miss Frank, were sent home.

Meanwhile it was the end of the road for Ronnie Wood's estranged wife Jo over on Strictly Come Dancing.

The glam blonde and her partner Brendan Cole left the contest after scoring a lacklustre 14 out of 40 points.

"I'm surprised I lasted this long. It's a miracle," said Jo after being voted out. "I've enjoyed every minute."
