Princess Mary springs into action

Denmark's enormously popular Crown Princess Mary had a certain spring in her step when she visited a children's centre this week. And her happy disposition wasn't the only reason she was in top form, as the mum of one took her royal duties to new heights when she tried out a trampoline.

Bouncing high into the air and laughing excitedly may not be the first thing one would expect from a senior royal, but the Aussie princess is famous for her common touch. When she arrived at the Christmas Seal Foundation's facility in Oelsted on Tuesday afternoon, the 34-year-old didn't hesitate to slip off her shoes and climb onto the elastic sheet.

The youngsters who welcomed her at the facility were clearly delighted with their VIP guest. And those who were lucky enough to share a few minutes of bouncy fun with the pretty brunette are unlikely to forget their giddy encounter with the future queen.

Mary is a patron of the Christmas Seal Foundation which is dedicated to helping children in need. It operates four special homes in Denmark where youngsters between the ages of six and 14 are offered a ten-week stay to help them recover from stress at home or school.
