Suri Cruise shows off winter accessories during snowy day in New York

The world's a more exciting place when it snows – especially when the weather gives you the chance to show off your new umbrella.

Suri Cruise seemed to think so anyway, as she stepped out during a snow storm in New York with mum Katie Holmes.

Visibly delighted by the falling snow, the colourfully-dressed youngster held tightly onto her umbrella, which was adorned with pictures of Disney princesses. 

Matching gloves, mittens and scarf – in vibrant knitted stripes – kept her wrapped up from the cold. And her beloved heels were no-where in sight, replaced instead by a pair of sensible flat pink Mary Janes.

At one point the youngster, heading to lunch with her mum, stuck her tongue out to catch a snowflake.

The mother-daughter team are in the Big Apple after jetting in with Tom Cruise from Miami, where they attended the Superbowl together.
