And William clearly sees both parents as role-models, saying: "My mother used her position very well to help other people, as does my father, and I hope to do the same."
Brought up to be involved in the lives of those less fortunate than himself, the young Prince supports the activities of numerous charities, such as Sport Relief and the Red Cross, and is patron of homeless charity Centrepoint. He is also closely involved in Britain's sporting community. Currently president of the Football Association, from February 2007 he takes on the role of royal vice patron of the Welsh Rugby Union. |
