TV actor Michael Weatherly has carved out an impressive career for himself after 30+ years in the industry. Probably best known for his roles in NCIS as Tony DiNozzo, and as the titular character in legal drama Bull, he is also a husband and father to three children but the talented actor is certainly not the only star in his family. Wife Bojana Jankovic is a Serbian-born, award-winning, board-certified internal medicine physician. Licensed in New York, Connecticut, California, Florida, and New Jersey, Bojana completed an internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai in California before undergoing a two-year fellowship in integrative medicine. He is also dad to son August, 29, whom he welcomed in 1996 with ex-wife Amelie Heinle, and son and daughter Liam, 11, and Olivia, 13, with Bojana.

"One of the things that makes me happiest is how close I am with my kids now," Michael told HELLO! in our September 2025 digital cover with the CBS star. "I see how much my daughter loves dancing, and my son loves playing soccer. They will spend hours a day putting themselves through the meat grinder of rehearsal and training, but I love that they do it with a smile and with gratitude. They're in flow, it's a really beautiful place to get to in life."

Michael found fame in the mid-1990s on the ABC soap Loving, and later the spin-off The City. During that time, he met and fell in love with co-star Amelia; they married in 1995 and welcomed their son in January 1996, but split a year later. He married Serbian-Canadian Dr. Bojana on September 30, 2009; they went on to welcome two children. Michael and Bojana are preparing to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary, and he told HELLO! that he and Bojana have had difficult conversations over the years that have led to him taking part in a "lot of therapy, a lot of reckoning and examination of different things."

Bojana has quite the resume. She finished her internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai before completing a two-year fellowship in integrative medicine, and completed training and certification in functional medicine.

She is a fellow of the American College of Physician, and is also a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner.

Bojana also has additional training in nutrition, mind-body medicine and mindfulness.

The mom-of-two is trained in functional medicine, nutrition, and mindfulness, and patients typically visit her for "their gut health, thyroid health, energy levels and anxiety among many other conditions," according to her website.

Bojana has received various awards for her work, including several patient satisfaction awards at Cedars-Sinai, Southern California Super Doctors Rising Star in 2016 and 2017, and Top Doctor and Super Doctors recognitions in New York between 2018 and 2022.

Ironically, before she met her actor husband and became a doctor, Bojana dabbled in TV and film and worked as a writer and assistant director in her native Serbia on projects including the 2009 Serbian TV series TVWWW and the 2007 short film Do Not Leave Me with Strangers.

Bojana now often appears in front of the camera as a health consultant and has enjoyed TV stints on Today, MSNBC, and Racheal Ray.

How did Michael Weatherly meet his wife?

Michael met his impressive wife in a bar in Vancouver in 2007. "I kept looking out of the corner of my eye and seeing this ravishing, gorgeous beauty," he told People in 2010. "We made eye contact. And that was it."

In fact, Michael was so enthralled with Bojana after their first meeting, that he flew all the way to Paris to take her on their first date after she revealed she was going on vacation with friends.

Michael's romantic gesture worked as following a two-year long-distance relationship the couple wed in 2009 and have been going strong ever since. He added to People: "My kids and my marriage are the things I'm proudest of."

Before meeting his long-time wife Bojana, Michael had two other high-profile relationships.

Michael and Amelia Heinle first crossed paths on the set of the soap opera, Loving. Cast as on-screen love interests, the pair quickly fell for one another in real life. They eventually tied the knot in 1995 and welcomed their son, August, on January 10, 1996.

In a 2017 interview with PEOPLE, the NCIS star reflected on his divorce from Amelia, which occurred in 1997.

"That was a very difficult time," he said.

"When I got remarried [to Bojana], I wanted to do my very best to ensure that rupture wouldn't happen again. My kids and my marriage are the things I'm proudest of".

Michael was linked to his Dark Angel co-star Jessica Alba from 2000 to 2003, with the duo being engaged in 2001.

"I loved that show, but at that period in my life, I was going through a particularly earnest streak, and I was fighting against what I thought were forces in the world that were against me… I think I probably had a pretty big chip on my shoulder," Michael told HELLO! of that period of his life.
