It was a record-breaking night for RAYE, and this years BRITs featured stunning performance after stunning performance. Be it Kylie's Global Icon set list, Dua Lipa's sultry opener, or Tate McRae's Greedy, we had a blast.

And who can forget Jonathan Bailey handing out an award, or Roman Kemp and Kylie doing a 'shoey'. I'm sure you didn't miss the moment, but if you did, catch it here below...

Kylie closes show out in style

And to prove just what an icon is, Kylie sang a mash-up of some of her great hits from Padam Padam, to Just Can't Get You Out of my Head, to Love at First Sight and finally All the Lovers.

And like the Kylie stan I am, I knew every word and every move.

Kylie Minogue named as Global Icon

Kylie Minogue has been a global icon for decades, and the singer was finally recongised with the Global Icon Award from the BRITs. The singer has nine no 1. albums in the UK, and be honest, you still don't have Padam Padam out of your head. I know I certainly don't!

RAYE 'ugly cries' following history-making night

The emotions of the night got to RAYE and in a tearful speech she joked she was "ugly crying" as she thanked her grandmother for her full support during her career. As we've said, it's been a record-breaking night for the young singer who has picked up five awards on the night, plus a sixth before the ceremony even began.

Our dream combination of Bimini Bon Boulash and Rob Beckett were the next hosts and Bimini even made a heartfelt dedication to the trans and non-binary communities.

Miley Cyrus's stunning hit Flowers was the winner and the global megastar thanked audiences remotely for the win.

Chase & Status hit the stage after their win

Fresh off their win, Chase & Status were then on hand to perform alongside Becky Hill with Disconnect. The drum and bass anthem switched up the mood following a more personal ballad from RAYE and we couldn't help but move along as well.

We can always count on a surprise at the BRITs, and we got that when Stranger Things alum Joe Keery showed up to present an award. The dreamy American actor handed out Best New Artist, and it was RAYE who scooped it. "What is happening right now, because I don't understand?" the singer questioned as she picked up the gong.

Best Song winner is... Escapism

And it's the first award of the night! Presenting Best Song was a former postmistress and the woman who played her in the hit ITV show Mr Bates vs the Post Office.

There were several nominess, but it was RAYE's Escapsim that took the gong home, and the singer looked shocked to hear the news. This is already RAYE's second win of the week, as she won Best Songwriter ahead of the ceremony.

We are just around half an hour away from the BRITs, and we can't wait! While 2022 and 2023 saw Mo Gilligan in the host's seat, this year we will be treated to three separate hosts, Maya Jama, Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp.
